Frozen Lifeway Kefir: A Fruity & Healthy Sweet Treat

Hi Everyone! I'm part of the influenster program and they sent me a voucher for a free Lifeway Kefir product. I ended up picking up the Pomegranate Frozen Kefir from my favorite Whole Foods store. Kefir is 98% lactose-free, full of healthy probiotics, gluten free and all-natural. It's also only 90 calories per serving, which is nice if you're feeling like ice cream but want to keep your calorie intake lower.

They do have a lot more choices like strawberry, mango and vanilla!

Here's my beautiful container of Kefir!

Right out of the container, it was very easy to scoop!
I shared it with my boyfriend and we were both extremely surprised by its deliciousness. It is very sweet and tangy and creamy! It reminded us both of go-gurt from when we were kids. (I think that stuff is still around-- do you remember what I'm talking about?) I also liked that I could really taste the pomegranate in the frozen kefir. It was a really yummy, light and fun snack that could definitely satisfy my sweet tooth but also not make me feel guilty/unhealthy afterwards! I will definitely be buying again.

If you're into healthy stuff too- it has probiotics & protein! :)

Until next time <3

Review: Seventh Generation Lavender Soothing Facial Cleansing Cloths

Seventh Generation Lavender Cleansing Wipes
My new favorite staple has been facial cleansing cloths. Normally, I just use facial cleanser. But lately I have noticed that when I don't use a cloth or something for my eye makeup, I can't actually get all my makeup off with facial cleansers alone. So, I tried the Josie Maran makeup removing wipes and those were really great! But they are pricey and sometimes when I go to Sephora they are long gone and then I get sad.

I've been trying some drug store brands now. I have tried Yes to Cucumbers (love the scent-but it kind of feels perfume-y, if you know what I mean) and the Burt's Bees Sensitive cleansing cloths (love em too, has a very natural feeling). Now I'm trying out the Seventh Generation version. I gotta say, I really love how sensitive these wipes are and how soothing they are. The Seventh Generation wipes smell like real lavender (not perfume-y at all, if you're into fresh lavender!). They also are amazing at removing my eye makeup, like all of that mascara, eyeshadow eyeliner--- gone after using these hypoallergenic babies! It also didn't sting my eyes which is nice.

They are alcohol-free, which means they won't dry out your skin (HURRAY!). Instead of lots of chemicals, the packaging says that they clean using "100% plant-based cleansers." Other pluses? paraben free, phalalate free, synthetic fragrance free and dye-free! HELLO :) That is cause for happiness! Oh yeah, and they don't test on animals either which floats my many boats!

I would say these and the Burt's Bees sensitive cotton wipes are at a tie for my #1 favorite cleansing wipes! You can find them at Walgreens, Whole Foods, Target, CVS... basically anywhere which is awesome!!

Overall, I am a huge fan of Seventh Generation. I have been happy to see them branch out and start doing more makeup and skin care stuff. Before, I just used their laundry detergent and paper products, but I am eager to try their new body washes and see what they are like too.

Thanks Seventh Generation! I will be repurchasing these wipes! :)

BTW-- I'm a huge fan of Seventh Generation, but I am not affiliated with them in any way. I was not paid to write this and I purchased these amazing facial cloths with my own hard earned money!! :)<3

Review: Philips Sonicare PowerUp Toothbrush

Teeth are super important. I think I have a greater awareness of how important teeth are after I got my wisdom teeth pulled and also after these terrifying dreams of my teeth turning into marshmallows that fall out of my mouth. (Sorry for my weirdness...) BUT- it is important to brush, floss and do all that good stuff to stay healthy.

Normally, I'm a no-fuss, just give me the regular toothbrush kind of person. My mom pushed the electric toothbrush on me. Then, when we went to get our teeth cleaned, the guy who cleans the teeth informed us that they are junk (the toothbrushes, not my pearlies). We need something better, he says. Something more powerful. He suggested sonicare, specifically the most expensive one they sell. "Um, no," is what I say to myself. I love my teeth. And $180 isn't really that much to pay to keep them healthy, but I just can't afford it. Me be a poor college student.

BUT- my mom found these. They're sonicare toothbrushes for the poor college student I be. And they are pretty impressive and POWERFUL. These suckers are very very powerful. And my teeth feel really clean after. Like squeaky clean hehe :) They still have a high-pitched noise that all sonicare toothbrushes have, but its less intense. I think these are really great for someone who wants a sonicare but maybe can't afford the priceyness.

Right now, they are on sale at Target. And about $15-20

Here's mine in all its sparkly clean goodness!

Happy Teeth Cleaning!
Until next time <3 -Bree

1, 2, 3 Easy Breezy Summer Scarves!

Who doesn't love summer scarves? They are a great way to add color, pop and pizazz to an outfit you already have. Here are some of my favorites for this summer. I think they're also a great way to keep the sun off your neck to avoid awkward sun-tan lines haha! I like that these ones are very lightweight too and won't cause you to overheat!

Francesca's Navy and Peach Whale Scarf- so whimsical and chic! <3

H&M Neon Marble Scarf- all the colors make me feel happy!
H&M Beautiful Butterfly Scarf- very understated and classy, this could also be worn in the fall too! :)

Another view of that butterfly scarf!! :)

Tastykake® Kandy Bar Kakes Review (Influenster Spring Vox Box Review)

In my Influenster Spring Vox Box, which I received from Influenster complimentary for review/testing purposes, I got a TastyKake Kandy Bar Kake... it was one flavored after one of my favorite candies-- the Reese's Peanut Butter Cup!!

I really wasn't sure what to expect since I have never had one before, but when I bit into it (see below), I loved it! It's really fluffy and sweet, like a very light brownie. I am really a health nut, so I am not sure this will be my new go-to snack, but I think it is a very nice treat to have for a "cheat day."

Me Getting ready for my first bite of  a Tastykake... :) Now to go for a run haha!

More information on the Tastykakes can be found here: http://www.tastykake.com
Flavors are also available in Smores and Peppermint. You can find these in grocery stores or convenience stores!!

Broadway imPress Press-on Manicure Review (Influenster Spring Vox Box Review)

Hi Everyone!!

YAY! I'm finally out for summer, so this means I can blog, vlog and make more youtube videos! I'm currently away on vacation, so I thought i would try the imPress press-on manicure nails that I received complimentary from Influenster's Spring Vox Box for testing/review purposes. I wanted to see how they fare for traveling purposes. I thought it would be good since there is really no drying time required and it wouldn't need to be put in a liquid bag on the plane. Additionally, to take them off, I just peel-- no nail polish remover needed. Well, I am pleasantly surprised. :) I think it's great for travel, fast, easy and actually quite sturdy!

Usually, I hate press on nails and have tried to steer far away from them. However, these nails are a bit sturdier (see pictures below). I got them in the "sexy fresh" color and they seem to be holding up pretty well on Day 1. I will update soon and let you know how long they last. The box says about a week, but I think with hand-washing and playing in the pool, they might come off sooner-- we shall see!! I've already washed my hands once since putting them on and it did not seem to affect the adhesiveness of the nails, so that's a good sign!

The nails retail at $5.99 for colors and $7.99 for patterns like the sexy fresh pattern!

How do you like my sexy fresh nails?

December 2012 IPSY Glam Bag: "Haute Holiday"

I posted a video about my IPSY my glam bag unboxing. Here's a couple close ups, as well as my thoughts on the products.

Above is the bag, along with the papers that came inside the pretty pink IPSY package.

Above is an up-close picture of the IPSY glam bag with a small peek inside. As you can see, the bag is sort of a shiny gray bag. The inside has a pink liner with the words "ipsy" all over it.

Above is one of the products, a small size Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eyeliner pencil in color Zero (black color). This eyeliner is amazing, as is all of the Urban Decay Products. Glides on amazingly and very creamy.

Above is the "be a...bombshell" full sized lip gloss in color Hot Mess (Red). I really liked this lipgloss color, however it was a bit of a sticky formula. Great over another red color. Great addition to my lip gloss collection.

Above is the Mirabella Prime Primer for Face and Eyes. I have not tried it yet, but it is full size.

Above is the NYX Ultra Pearl Mania Loose Eyeshadow in Baby Pink Pearl. This full size eye shadow is great to add sparkle and shine. The NYX eye shadows can be a bit messy to work with, but give great color payoff. I love that this product is also cruelty free!

Above is the Mai Couture Highlighter Papers for face. I tried this and I really like it! The papers are easy to use and are great for tucking into your purse for touchups. Love the glow it gives me too! Also, love that this product is paraben free- score!

Love this month's IPSY bag. For only $10/month, it's definitely a great deal!
